Rehabilitation Rental Program

The EQ system has been proven again and again to help horses recover from a variety of issues which can be improved or resolved through a managed rehabilitation program. Our Rehab Rental Program provides you with a flexible and adjustable saddle that can match your horse's body changes during the healing process. Whether your diagnosis is kissing spines, another back issue, or something else, our saddle system can be set up in accordance with your veterinarian's instructions, and then modified as your horse improves over time.

Here are the program basics:

Start with measurements

Measurements

When you are contemplating a return to ridden work, request our Tracings and Scan guide and consider ordering an Equine Measuring Kit, with all the materials you’ll need. Tracing key areas of your horse’s back is a simple ten-minute task which you’ll repeat at intervals during the rehab process. Once you’ve made your first set of tracings, you will have taken the first step toward tracking your horse’s development during rehab.

We suggest new measurements every 4-5 weeks during rehab. This will let you trace the development of your horse’s topline, and let us, together, determine if saddle adjustments are necessary.

Overview

When you are nearing the time that your horse has been approved to be back under saddle, complete our Rehab Rental application (link below).

We will work with you to select a saddle that is appropriate, and then will custom-adjust it with your specific diagnosis in mind. As soon as your horse is released to resume ridden work, we will ship the saddle to you for approval. If you decide to send the saddle back within three days, you will receive a 100% refund of the first month's fee.

The program has a 90-day limit; rental fees are billed in 30-day increments, and there are prorated refunds if you return the saddle early. After 90 days, you must purchase the saddle or return it. If you decide to purchase the saddle, 50% the first month's fee and 100% of all subsequent rental fees you paid will be deducted from the price.

I’m an equine and human massage therapist with certificates in many modalities as well as a rider. I’m doing body work as well as riding 6+ horses and working on 8+ people a day. I have issues from many years of riding young horses. All the horses have been switched to RP and EQ saddles and their myofacial networks, muscle systems and my own systems are much improved for the change. Including my very difficult to fit short backed Hungarian. They must be fit properly like every saddle, but unlike a standard saddle can easily be altered to accommodate development in real time. Highly recommend purchasing an impression pad so adjusting the saddle has hard evidence and shows you what you may be missing. FYI we’ve made switch over 10 year period to everyone going in one.
